Sailing Charters On Always and All Ways

Sailing Charters are the most relaxing vacations. I’ve done Florida Bareboat Charters most of my life so this year we did something different. We combined sailing charters and Belize Vacations in to an absolutely unforgettable experience. If you think that Fl sailing yacht charters are great you will love Belize Sailing charters.

We took Always and All ways from Placencia the southern base for TMM to San Perdo their Northern Base. The TMM Placencia base is around back in a lagoon. All the boats are moved south for hurricane season as it is closer to refuge in the event of a storm. The creation of two bases at opposite ends of the country also creates the unequaled option of sailing one way and leaving the boat at the opposite base from where you started. Since both Tropic Air and Mayan Island Air service both towns, there is no problem with travel arrangements.

Bareboat yacht charter enables you to have complete control of your sailing vacation. Using Caribbean Sea Adventures I made all my arrangements directly with the owners and not a bareboat yacht charter agency. They are experienced sailors helped me plan each day as an 'off the beaten track' adventure.

We set own pace discovering the delights of the many Cays along the Belize Coast, exploring the many sights and sounds of these tropical Islands, anchoring in the secluded bays or swimming in the beautiful inviting waters of Belize. The choice is entirely yours.

Let me tell you about just one of the islands we stopped at Ranguana Cay (16:19.9'N, 88:09.1'W). This was the only night of our trip where we had to share the anchorage with other boats all were local fishing vessels. Ranguana Cay is now an outpost for Robert's Grove, with a cluster of tiny cottages and a thatched roof dining area. We meet the local proprietor Leah and asked if he was serving dinner. He said sure what do you want. I was in the mood for lobster and Simone asked for a white fish of some kind. Leah recommended Hog fish she agreed. Leah told us to come ashore around 6 and everything would be ready. As we motored the dingy back to our sea home “Always” I saw Leah wave at the local fisherman. As we had our before dinner drinks I saw are fresh caught dinner being delivered to Leah.

The snorkeling here is best directly out from the sandbar. Deep canyons of coral lead out towards the barrier reef. We saw a spotted ray with a span of at least 6' and the biggest hog fish I have ever seen. We found four mooring balls in anchorage and it was very easy to tie up to one for the night.

At sunset we had dined outside and talked with the sounds of the Caribbean Sea all around. We were the only dinner guests that night and the meal was a wonderful feast of fresh grilled lobster and a beautifully grilled Hog fish with sides of tropical fruit and masterfully done rice.

We had many romantic beautiful nights just like this on our sailing honeymoon. This one will “Aways” and in “All ways” be one that is a very special memory.
